Lead round bullets .652
Each ball is cast by hand and 100% checked for quality!
50 lead round balls for needle guns or muskets in .652 caliber
Diameter(Approx): 16.55mm
This ball was rolled in a drum and then treated with wax and graphite (see image 3). Thus, it no longer has a cast slug.
From now on I will roll (drum) lead balls and treat them with wax and graphite.
You can see very well that the casting slugs and any casting burrs have almost completely disappeared.
The advantage of the cast is that there are no cavities in the ball because the air can still escape from the top of the mold. When pressing, there may be cavities in the lead, which cause the balls to have very different weights and thus different hit positions. But these pressed balls have no cast slug.
With this method I now combine the advantages of casting with those of pressing. Uniform ball weights and NO cast slugs.
Tania Heber (German Champion, European Champion, World Champion in the various muzzleloader disciplines) would only fall back on the rolled balls!
The balls in the shop are gradually being rearranged. If the balls are rolled (tumbled), then this is explicitly mentioned in the description. Otherwise they are just cast.
