Lead round balls .435
Each ball is cast by hand and 100% checked for quality!
Pack of 100 lead round balls for rifles and/or handguns in .435 caliber
Diameter (approx.): 11.05mm
This bullet is ideal for the LePage in caliber .44, for example!
This ball was rolled in a drum and then treated with wax and graphite (see picture 3). This means that it no longer has any casting slugs.
From now on I will roll (drum) lead balls and treat them with wax and graphite.
You can clearly see that the casting slugs and any casting burrs have almost completely disappeared.
The advantage of casting is that there are no voids in the ball because the air can still escape from the top of the mold. When pressing, there can be voids in the lead, which result in very different weights of the balls and therefore different hit positions. These pressed balls do not have a casting slug.
With this method I now combine the advantages of casting with those of pressing. Uniform ball weights and NO cast slugs.
Tania Heber (German champion, European champion, world champion in the various muzzle-loading disciplines) would also only use the rolled balls!
The balls in the shop are gradually being changed. If these are rolled (tumbled) balls, then this will be explicitly mentioned in the description. Otherwise they are just cast.
