This means that it no longer has any casting slugs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e From now on I will roll (drum) lead balls and treat them with wax and graphite.\u003cbr\u003e It is clearly visible that the casting slugs and possible casting burrs have almost completely disappeared.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The advantage of casting is that there are no cavities in the bullet, because the air can still escape from the top of the mold. During pressing, cavities can appear in the lead, which cause the bullets to have very different weights and therefore different impact positions. However, these pressed bullets do not have a casting slug.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e With this method I now combine the advantages of casting with those of pressing.
