This means that it no longer has any casting slugs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e From now on I will roll (drum) lead balls and treat them with wax and graphite.\u003cbr\u003e You can clearly see that the casting slugs and any casting burrs have almost completely disappeared.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The advantage of casting is that there are no voids in the ball because the air can still escape from the top of the mold. When pressing, there can be voids in the lead, which result in very different weights of the balls and therefore different hit positions. These pressed balls do not have a casting slug.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e With this method I now combine the advantages of casting with those of pressing.
